The study of sustainable business and economy explores environmental, social, and economic sustainability at the levels of consumers, firms and organizations, and society as a whole. Research provides new insights, e.g., about sustainable business strategies and business ethics, circular economy, consumer behaviour and marketing, stakeholder relations, responsible human resource management, and employee well-being.

Towards greater sustainability

The focus area Sustainable business and economy explores environmental, social, and economic sustainability at the levels of consumers, firms and organizations, and society as a whole. The studies delve into critical aspects such as the transition of organizations and society towards sustainability, circular economy and material flow management, bio-economy, and sustainable strategies and business models. Additionally, sustainability issues in consumer behaviour, firm practices, stakeholder relations, and marketing are examined.

The research also deals with questions related to business ethics, responsible human resource management, and employee well-being. Ultimately, the research findings contribute to understanding the current state of sustainable business, economy, and society, facilitating informed decision-making through scientific research.
