Research at the Department of Social Sciences and Philosophy
Our aim is to use science to help build a more equal, safer, more tolerant and more open society.
Research at the Department of Social Sciences and Philosophy interprets and explains social and political phenomena and crises, builds understanding of the interaction between individuals and society, and analyses and solves key problems in philosophy.
The Department conducts methodologically and conceptually strong basic and applied research that crosses disciplinary boundaries and combines philosophical analysis with a diverse theoretical and methodological arsenal of social and political sciences in an internationally unique way.
