Doctoral School in the Faculty of IT

The effective use of information technology requires academically trained IT experts. The doctoral degrees awarded in the IT faculty are Doctor of Philosophy and Doctor of Science (Economics and Business Administration). Doctoral studies are completed in one of the following areas: Information Systems (PhD or DSc), Computational Science (PhD), Software and Communications Engineering (PhD), Cognitive Science (PhD) or Learning Science (PhD).

Tenure Track Career Path at the Faculty of Information Technology

At the Ģ��ֱ��, you can progress to a professorship through the tenure track. The faculty has four main areas of research: (1) computational sciences, (2) cognitive science and educational technology, (3) software and telecommunication technology and (4) information systems. Global demand for experts in business and technological transitions

The Ģ��ֱ��’s new degree programme in technology management, scheduled to start in the autumn, combines strong software engineering expertise, lifelong learning, and the management of expert teams. One of the designers of the programme is Professor of Practice Ari Jaaksi, who has extensive experience in international corporation in the field of technology.
