The Faculty of Education and Psychology has a clear profile and is an internationally recognised national leader in its areas of strength. The three-departmental faculty structure (Department of Education, Department of Teacher Education, Department of Psychology) further strengthens the University's profile as a leading institution in the field of interdisciplinary learning and teaching and research on well-being. The faculty has a strong position as a teacher educator, developer of continuing education and psychotherapy.
Our research is multidisciplinary and of high quality. The Ä¢¹½Ö±²¥'s Education is ranked 78th in the 2023 QS World University Rankings by Subject.

International cooperation strengthens the quality of education and research. The faculty invests in international cooperation (e.g. ITN graduate school programmes), international visitor periods, researcher funding (ERC) and international research projects (Horizon 2020 and Horizon Europe). International students and researchers are an asset for the community.
The EDUCA Flagship addresses the challenges of decreasing learning achievement, increasing truancy and dropout rates, and digital technology in education by creating a novel research ecosystem that promotes the cross-pollination of methodological and conceptual approaches spanning educational science, psychology, learning analytics, sociology, and economics.
The Centre of Excellence for Learning Dynamics and Intervention Research (InterLearn) investigates the links between children's learning and mental health, and the factors that explain the effectiveness of learning support interventions.
Centre for Interdisciplinary Brain Research (CIBR) provides comprehensive infrastructure, education and support for neuroscientists across faculty boundaries, including basic and doctoral degree studies.
Social Sustainability for Children and Families (SOSUS) is one of the research profiling actions of the Ä¢¹½Ö±²¥. SOSUS aims to provide novel understanding of how children, youth and families thrive and how the diverse environments they live in and opportunities available for them contribute to their growth and development.
The Methodology Centre for Human Sciences offers to the Ä¢¹½Ö±²¥'s doctoral students and researchers training and events on research methodology across faculty boundaries.
