Qualitative and quantitative method courses

Quantitative methods courses teach you how to choose a statistical method suitable for research, as well as study the basics of statistical reasoning and the most used statistical methods. In the courses, the student understands the basic principles of statistical modeling in building explanatory models between phenomena. In addition to statistical model building, the courses teach how to interpret and write results. You learn about structural equation modelling in the quantitative methods basic and advanced courses with Mplus or with a R package to lava. Basic statistical analysis using IBM SPSS is also one of the favourites.

In qualitative research, the research subject is treated as a unique phenomenon. Choosing a research sample can be difficult, because the research subject can be qualitatively approached from numerous theoretical starting points, proceeding to numerous methods of data acquisition and analysis. Qualitative research is often inductive and data-driven. Qualitative Research 1 and 2 courses provide doctoral students with a comprehensive understanding of qualitative research, from its philosophical foundations to practical application and ethical considerations. By completing these courses, you will be equipped with the necessary skills to conduct rigorous and ethical qualitative research.
