Maintenance breaks on Wednesdays from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m.

Digital Services has a standard weekly schedule for the maintenance of communications and systems services. During the maintenance window, services may be interrupted for varying lengths of time due to maintenance activities. Maintenance outages may also be imperceptible to the service user, lasting a few minutes or occurring during the maximum duration of the maintenance window.

Through maintenance and upkeep, we ensure that users of our services have an up-to-date and secure digital environment for learning and research!

Maintenance and upkeep activities can be carried out:

  • telecommunication services (e.g. wired and wireless networks)
  • data centre services (e.g. servers)
  • system and application services (e.g. email, SISU, Moodle)

For the most significant known, longer outages, a separate maintenance notification will be prepared in advance. Outages for maintenance and servicing outside the maintenance window will be announced separately in bulletins.

What should I do if I notice a service disruption?

  • Check if it is during the service window or if you have been informed about a possible disruption
  • If it is not a service window or if there is no specific notification of a disruption
    • report the problem via the HelpJYU service portal or by contacting the Digital Services Helpdesk.
    • Evenings (5 pm - 9 pm) and weekends (9 am - 5 pm) for large-scale and acute system/service failures. The on-call service does not provide support for individual support needs.
