Flagships at the Ä¢¹½Ö±²¥

The Research Council of Finland’s Flagship Programme is an instrument that supports high-quality research and increases the economic and societal impact emerging from the research. The Finnish Flagships represent an effective mix of close cooperation with business and society, adaptability and a strong commitment from host organisations.

JYU is involved in three flagships

The Ä¢¹½Ö±²¥ leads the EDUCA Flagship on the future of education.

The Ä¢¹½Ö±²¥-led Education for the Future EDUCA Flagship promotes the development of education through research. JYU is also strongly involved in the Finnish Quantum Flagship and the Flagship of Advanced Mathematics for Sensing, Imaging and Modelling, FAME.

These flagship grants, awarded in 2023, were the first for the Ä¢¹½Ö±²¥. The flagships will be of great importance for the university's research and overall impact for years to come.

The Academy of Finland selected four new flagships in 2023.
