The Ä¢¹½Ö±²¥ uses the eParking app. To make parking in the University area easier, be sure you have the eParking app in use. If you are a JYU student or staff member, login to the application with your Haka credentials. Visitor parking follows the street parking prices in the area.

Whether you are parking during chargeable hours or outside of them, you must always register your vehicle when parking in the area.

The venue for the New Professors’ Celebration Lectures is the Agora building (Ag) and its Martti Ahtisaari Auditorium (A102) on the first floor. The coffee service will take place in the lobby of the same building, also on the first floor.

You can explore the venue with the help of the campus map.

The dress code for public is casual.
Casual (also known as "smart casual") is the most casual of the dress codes.

The New Professors Celebration Lectures are part of the academic events of the Ä¢¹½Ö±²¥. 
There are academic procedures involved in the lectures, which it is good for the public to be aware of:

• Doors to the auditorium open to the public at 11:30 a.m.
• There will be an academic quartet at the beginning of the event from at 12:00 noon to 12:15 p.m.
• At the beginning of the event, the public will stand up as the Vice Rector and the new professors enter the room.
• The public can be seated after the Vice Rector and the new professors have been seated.
• At the end of the event, the public stands up as the Vice Rector and the new professors leave the room.
• The public wait in their places until the Vice Rector and the new professors have left the room.
• The public will then proceed to greet the Vice Rector and the new professors before a coffee service.

The public can bring a gift to the new professor. The gifts will be given to the professors during the greeting, before a coffee service. Gifts can be brought to the auditorium. 

Parking at JYU is free for persons with reduced mobility when the vehicle has a parking permit for people with reduced mobility. The eParking app does not need to be used when the vehicle has a parking permit for people with reduced mobility. 

Persons using wheelchairs or other assistive devices can access the Martti Ahtisaari Auditorium in the Agora building from the first floor, near the main entrance. The auditorium is located opposite the main doors and is fully accessible. The main doors can be opened using the activation button next to them. The auditorium has fixed seating, and attendees may choose seats freely from the front rows. Any assistants are kindly requested to sit either next to or behind the persons they are assisting.
