European whitefish is healthy for human consumption, but the nutritional quality varies among seasons

Research by an international team of scientists shed new light to the nutritional quality of whitefish and revealed that the tasty fish is best to eat in late summer.

"The researchers showed that predators learn to avoid more distasteful yellow frogs and generalize this avoidance to white frogs", says Doctor Bibiana Rojas from University of Jyvaskylä.
