Research group description

The multidisciplinary group, the first of its kind in Finland, explores psychological wisdom and its pedagogical development from a variety of perspectives. Researchers come from a wide range of disciplines: higher education pedagogy, educational science, developmental psychology, philosophy, and information technology.  The team looks at how wisdom is researched, developed, taught and learned, and what educational phenomena it refers to. The development and learning of wisdom is seen as a life-consuming and multifaceted phenomenon. The research approach is both humanistic-philosophical, theoretical and empirical. Researchers come from a wide range of disciplines: higher education pedagogy, educational science, developmental psychology, philosophy, and information technology.  We are part of the (2022-2026) funded by the Academy of Finland.
