Development of wisdom and construction of forest relationship in preschool education in forests (WIFOR)
This project investigates whether forests can serve as a learning environment where preschool-aged children learn wisdom. At the same time, we examine what meanings the pre-schoolers, their teachers and multiprofessional practitioners as well as parents associate with forests. Children’s wisdom is an underresearched topic, as is the development of children’s relationship with forests. The project is funded by the Metsämiesten Säätiö Foundation.
