Biography
I work as a postdoctoral researcher at the Ģֱ. My current work contributes to two interrelated research projects. First, I’m conducting an ethnographic research project on the evaluative and reflexive practices in guidance counselling. The project studies the role of student assessment in guidance counselling, especially when students are considering their educational and occupational choices. Secondly, I’m working on the EDUCA Flagship project in the research team, "the overarching theme of multi-level and multi-sited educational policy making". My research focuses especially on evaluation and assessment within educational policies. I’m also supervising master's and doctoral theses and teaching courses on qualitative research methodologies.
Research interests
My research interests encompass sociology and politics of education, history of education, and curriculum studies. I am particularly focused on evaluation and assessment in education and educational policy as societal phenomena and practices. Recently, I have investigated the role of evaluation and assessment within the realm of guidance and counseling, with a keen interest in how policies and practices in this area shape student subjectivities.
