Shanghai Ranking of Academic Subjects 2024: Nine JYU disciplines among the best in the world
JYU’s research in the discipline of Library & Information Science ranked in the 76–100 range in the Shanghai Global Ranking of Academic Subjects published on Monday 11 November 2024. This includes Information Systems Science at the Ä¢¹½Ö±²¥.

Altogether, nine branches of science from JYU were included in the global top 500.
Mathematics at JYU ranked in the 101–150 range and was the best university in Finland. The same ranking was achieved by Education and Communication. Sport (Sport was included in Hospitality and Tourism Management) ranked in the 151–200 range.
Ecology and Psychology were ranked in the 301–400 range and Chemistry and Physics in the 401–500 range.
More than 1,900 out of 5,000 universities across 96 countries and regions are listed in the rankings. Rankings take into account, for example, the quality of research, international cooperation, publications in top journals, and significant academic awards.
