Multiliteracies and knowledge construction

Multiliteracies refers to the complex set of resources, e.g. textual, visual, oral, spatial, digital, needed for full participation in and access to mediatized and digitalized society.

This core area focuses on the role of multiliteracies in learning, social and societal belonging and professional agency. Multiliteracies refers to the complex set of resources (e.g. textual, visual, oral, spatial, digital) needed for full participation in and access to mediatized and digitalized society.

Emphasis of research is on knowledge construction across the life span in different domains of life (education, free time, working life) and at their contact points/intersections. Out research explores how multimodal and multilingual competences and practices are developed through activities in different domains, and how they build expertise and intersect with activities in other domains.
