Discourses, identities and mobilities
Discourses, identities and mobilities research in the core field of study has a contribution to make to both the scientific and social debate.
In multidisciplinary, multimethodological discourse studies, language is analysed critically as a central force in developing and constructing knowledge, identities, and ways of working. Central to these studies is the effect of discourses on participation and social wellbeing.
Research on the dynamics of identity, inclusion and exclusion as well as social (in)equalities is especially important in a diversifying, multilingual world marked by the multidirectional mobility of people, technologies and ideas. Our research contributes to the scientific discussion about discourse and the societal debate on the significance of language usage, multilingualism, and language expertise in the world.
