Agreement for conducting research at Ä¢¹½Ö±²¥'s premises and facilities

The agreement is made by and between a person conducting research on a scholarship, as a visiting researcher or otherwise without an employment relationship with the Ä¢¹½Ö±²¥ and a unit of the Ä¢¹½Ö±²¥ on conducting research using the University’s premises and equipment and on the rights and responsibilities related to research. Based on the agreement, the unit may allow you to use an office space, laboratories or a phone, for example.

If you do not have an employment relationship with JYU and you wish to use University's premises and /or equipment to conduct your dissertation research, please ask your dissertation supervisor to contact the assistant of your unit. The assistant will prepare the agreement.

Funding for writing a thesis at Konnevesi Research Station

JYU doctoral researchers with employment contract with the University can apply for the Research Council’s Konnevesi funding. Degree students of the Ä¢¹½Ö±²¥, who are preparing their doctoral dissertation and who are not in employment relationship to the university, may apply for the Konnevesi grant.

The Research Residence at the University Consortium of Seinäjoki

A Research Residence service concept is available at the University Consortium of Seinäjoki (UCS).

The Research Residence offers workspaces to all researchers, especially doctoral dissertation researchers, whose research has a connection to the region of South Ostrobothnia in Finland, regardless of their institutional affiliation or background organisation. Thesis authors are expected to participate in the research community activities, to present their research in joint researcher meetings and to the general public.

Print it services

JYU's printing, copying and scanning system is called Print it. University staff members use the service with their ID card. Other doctoral students are allowed to use the service based on the Agreement on Conducting Research using the University's Premises and Equipment.

If you are not University staff and you do not have an Agreement on Conducting Research using the University's Premises and Equipment, you can use the Print it service as a student. Students may pay quota to their personal print and copy account from the University's Online Payment Services and login to the services with their student card or JYU user account.
