Enrolment in Sisu study data system
- Please make sure that in the JYU system you register an e-mail address(es) that you use/check regularly as this e-mail address is used also by Sisu. If you use a gmail account as your primary e-mail, our messages may end up in your spam folder, so in this case, remember to check your spam folder regularly.
- If you have registered for a course and for some reason you do not get any information from Sisu regarding your registration status (selected/rejected) please check Sisu. If you see that you have been selected but you did not get any information about the course (e.g., Zoom link, possible pre-tasks), please check Sisu messages and/or your e-mail (including the spam folder) or contact the teacher. If you are selected for a course, you are automatically added to the Moodle workspace of that course, so in case of a technical issue, you can also get more information about the course from Moodle.
- When planning to take any of the courses, please first check when (in which semester) that is offered. Not all the courses are offered in both semesters.
- Please read the course description carefully before registering and register for a course in the stage of your studies, when you think you would benefit from the course most.
- Before registering, please also check whether you can actually attend the course (Movi has an 80% attendance policy). We use this policy in both online and on-campus courses.
- Since some of these courses are very popular, unfortunately, registering for the course does not guarantee you a place. The teachers use course-specific selection criteria, and in most courses, manual selection is used instead of automatic selection.
- If you register for a course and are selected, but for some reason you need to drop the course, always inform the teacher before the course starts (ideally a few days before) so that your place can be offered to someone else on the waiting list.
Thank you for your cooperation!
The language of learning
If the language of learning in the course is Finnish, you can attend, if you are able to follow the teaching in Finnish even if you are writing your dissertation in English (and vice versa). If the language of the dissertation must be Finnish, it is mentioned in the course info.
