Education description

We provide you with skills to design, develop and implement systems that can solve individual, organizational and societal problems. Our programme is the perfect blend of IS skills and business knowledge.

The degree in Information Systems is unique in Finland in combining Information Technology with Economic Sciences. You will be able to:

  • analyse real-life problems and provide ICT-based solutions to them,
  • design intelligent ICT-enabled services,
  • manage an existing ICT organization,
  • create a new, ICT-driven business.

Graduate characteristics will also include good international communication skills due to the integrated language and communication studies.

The relationship of IT and its users, both people and organizations, is at the very heart of Information Systems. The main interest lies in the development and usage of information systems as part of an organization and business with the aim of understanding them holistically from the viewpoint of technology, the users and the effects of the usage of information systems.
