Lifelong learning
The Children’s University JYUniorit encourages children and young people aged 3-18 to explore the world of science. We organize science activities for daycare and school groups as well as for children and young people during their leisure time. We want to inspire children and young people to enter the world of science, art, and research through hands-on exploration and discovery.

There are many ways for school children and students to explore science, research and faculties at the Ä¢¹½Ö±²¥. Welcome to visit us! You can also request us to visit you!

Are you interested in studies at JYU, either trying individual courses or exploring deeper? We offer a wide variety of university studies that are open to anyone with an interest. Flexible online courses are available whenever suits you best.
JYU Open University offers courses and study modules from all six faculties of JYU. The majority of the study offering is in Finnish, with a limited selection of courses in English.
The Summer Ä¢¹½Ö±²¥ also offers lifelong learning opportunities, including courses on the Finnish language.
At the University of the Third Age in Jyväskylä (U3A), you are welcome to explore science, societal phenomena and personal development. We offer lectures, seminars, courses and study trips. Lectures and many of our courses are available both in person and online. Our activities are open to all regardless of age, where you live and your previous education. At the U3A, knowledge and experience come together. Most U3A activities are in Finnish.
