Therapies and rehabilitation

The Ä¢¹½Ö±²¥  actively coordinates the national development project MOKUVE (Multidisciplinary Rehabilitation Network). The objective of the network is to bring together rehabilitation expertise from all Finnish universities.  Nationally,  the Ä¢¹½Ö±²¥ offers the largest set of university-level training programs and courses in the field of therapy, including physiotherapy, psychotherapy and various forms of art therapy. Key themes in physiotherapy research include health promotion, functional capacity, disease prevention, care and rehabilitation, learning, teaching, guidance and counceling as well as digitalization.

The Department of Psychology has conducted research on psychotherapy and psychological treatment processes since the 1970s. The Psychotherapy Training and Research Center, which operates as a private health care unit within the Department, offers psychotherapy services to individuals, couples, families and other groups, provides training and teaching to master's and postgraduate students, organizes continuing education programs and produces scientific knowledge on psychotherapy and psychological treatment processes.

The Department of Music, Art and Culture Studies offers the possibility to study music therapy and to examine the effects of music therapy ans well as other forms of art therapy.  The Music Therapy Clinic for Research and Training is also located in the Department.
