Research group description

The research group is a transdisciplinary team with expertise in critical psychology, sport and performance psychology, sport sociology, gender studies, cultural studies, and cultural developmental psychology. We actively collaborate with diverse stakeholders within the sport sector to address pressing sociocultural and structural issues that significantly impact the life course development of athletes. Our overarching objective is to facilitate learning and the transfer of knowledge across various social layers, thereby fostering progressive social change. Through our research actions, we are committed to supporting women and gender fluid athletes to thrive throughout their athletic journey, ensuring they have the necessary resources and opportunities for meaningful life design, holistic wellbeing, and equitable career development.
