Stress genomics

Stress tolerance is one of the key traits affecting organisms' survival, adaptation and distribution. However, we still lack understanding on how organisms cope with varying stressors at the molecular level and what key genomic mechanisms are involved in these responses. We are interested on the role of chromosomal inversions, transposable elements (TEs) and candidate gene expression in stress tolerance and their interaction at the genomic level.

Research group description

Stress tolerance is one of the key traits affecting organisms' survival, adaptation and distribution. However, we still lack understanding on how organisms cope with varying stressors at the molecular level and what key genomic mechanisms are involved in these responses. We are interested on the role of chromosomal inversions, transposable elements (TEs) and candidate gene expression in stress tolerance and their interaction at the genomic level.
