Societal impact in curricula

Project description
The project will examine how curricula have been studied from a societal impact perspective and how the societal impact perspective is reflected in the written curricula of EduFutura educational organisations. The study consists of a literature review and an analysis of curricula documents.
The literature review explores the concepts, approaches, research questions and methods used to examine the social impact perspective in curricula and the results obtained. The review focuses on the recent (2010-) curricula research published in peer-reviewed higher education journals. A content analysis of curricula documents is carried out based on the theoretical framework drawn on the literature review. The analysis focuses on the curricula documents of the Ä¢¹½Ö±²¥, Jyväskylä University of Applied Sciences (JAMK) and Jyväskylä Educational Consortium Gradia. In addition, the guidelines for the construction of curricula and educational descriptions in web pages were also analysed.
The study provides conceptual understanding and comparative information on curricula. This information will be utilised in curriculum development and curriculum work in EduFutura Jyväskylä educational organisations.
