
Josephine Lau
Biography
I am currently a project researcher at the innovative learning environment (ILE) at the Finnish Institute for Educational Research. I am involving in projects that are related to the creation of active and innovative teaching and learning environments for students, teachers and school leaders. The subjects and themes are multi-disciplinary, which include but not limited to STEM (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics), arts, physcial education, individual and planetary well-being,and sustainable development.
I am educated as a teacher, and I have the experiences in teaching in different settings and age groups. I am eager to exchange innovative eduational ideas with teachers, colleagues, and academics in Finland and beyond. Many teachers and educators worldwide have devised a lot of innovative ways of learning to equip the young generation for the uncertainties and betterment for the future. Through international research and collaborations, good educational practices which could be fine-tuned and adjusted for different context and situations.
Research interests
My research interest lies in teacher professional identity and agency, innovative ways of teaching and learning.
