Research interests
My research delves into the interplay between music engagement, health, and well-being.
I am particularly fascinated with the nuances and complexities within this relationship. For instance, what are the differences between listening to music and actively making it? Under what circumstances does music become adaptive or maladaptive for health and well-being? What are the underlying mechanisms at play?
Additionally, I explore the connection between music and experiences with climate change, as well as pro-environmental attitudes and behaviors. Is there a link between listening to certain types of music and our feelings and thoughts about the ecological crisis? How do people use music to regulate their emotions and fears about the environment?
