Biography
I work as a postdoctoral researcher in the EDUCA (Education for the Future) Flagship project. Currently, my research focuses on digitalization, education, and teacher education. I’m interested in teacher development, critical thinking, socioemotional / interpersonal competence, multiliteracies, and creative methods. I have taught in pre-service and in-service teacher education programs, and my teaching has focused on educational studies, socioemotional competence, and pedagogy in the area of Finnish language and literature.
Research interests
In my doctoral dissertation, I studied pre-service teachers’ collaborative learning from socioemotional and societal perspectives (e.g., critical thinking). The context of my PhD study was online and blended teacher education. I also analyzed the narratives that pre-service teachers co-constructed about the future of education. I use qualitative methods, and I am interested in mixed methods.
