Learn Finnish in Movi's S2 courses

Movi offers many different studies of Finnish as a second language (S2) from basic level courses to advanced level courses. In addition to the university’s students, the courses are aimed at academic job seekers and immigrants who are already in working life. The next courses start in January 2024.

Do you want to learn more Finnish? Welcome to Finnish as a second language (S2) studies at the Ģ��ֱ��’s Centre for Multilingual Academic Communication, Movi!

Movi offers many different Finnish courses starting from the entry level. The courses are aimed at the university’s students, but also academic job seekers and immigrants who are already in working life. Participating in the courses requires the ability to study independently, as well as earlier studies in upper secondary level. The entry level courses use English as a supporting language.

Both longer courses of 5–6 credits as well as shorter courses of 2–4 credits are offered. The longer courses teach many various skills such as listening, reading, speaking and writing, whereas the shorter courses focus on a couple of skills.

Students of the Ģ��ֱ�� can enroll to the courses through Sisu. Non-university students can enroll by seeking separate study right and sending the application to Ulla Lautiainen (ulla.lautiainen@jyu.fi). A separate study right costs 15€/credit.
