Separate study rights entitle the student to take a separate study module or certain courses without the right to complete a degree.

What is a separate study right? 

Separate study rights entitle the student to take a separate study module or certain courses without the right to complete a degree. Faculties and the Centre for Multilingual Academic Communication (Movi) can grant separate study rights for such study units and modules that are not available as open university studies at JYU. Separate study rights are valid for a fixed period. 

Students who study with a separate study right participate either in the same studies as degree students or complete the course independently, depending on the course completion method. Students who complete separate studies follow the same regulations as degree students.
