A deep understanding of the contexts of heritage and environments, a critical approach that questions and deconstructs normative meanings, and new theoretical, conceptual and methodological openings are central to research in this area.
The interconnected themes of cultural heritage, cultural and natural environments and temporality are examined from perspectives that combine different research traditions. The research will cover the multiple meanings of tangible and intangible cultural heritage and environments, their formation and changes, the values and experiences of heritage and environments, and their communal, social and political dimensions.
