Project description

The ELABCHROM project strengthens multidisciplinary research, education, and stakeholder activities in the field of cultural heritage and promotes extensive research expertise and collaboration among partner universities. The project is led by Lucian Blaga University of Sibiu in Romania, with Jyväskylä University and the University of Burgundy in Dijon, France, as partners. All three universities are members of the FORTHEM alliance. The project includes research conducted in Romania on the development of the Transylvanian region through multicultural cultural heritage.

Jyväskylä University leads a work package in the project focused on training researchers, which includes activities such as summer schools and research visits. Collaboration among partner universities also involves strengthening research management expertise, co-publication, and organizing conferences. The project establishes a cultural heritage laboratory at Lucian Blaga University in Sibiu, aiming to become part of the thematic laboratory infrastructure of the FORTHEM alliance. The laboratory's objective is to bring together expertise, research, and education in cultural heritage from FORTHEM alliance universities.
