What is the Student Compass?

The Student's Compass (known as Opiskelijan Kompassi in Finnish, or O.K.) is an evidence-based online programme designed to enhance mental well-being and study skills.
It has been developed at the psychology department of the Ģֱ ever since 2011. This versatile programme offers options for self-guided use, as well as individual or group guidance. You have the freedom to independently navigate our well-structured programme or handpick the most appropriate exercises from a diverse selection of over 70 well-being practices.

How to Use the Programme

As a student, you can use the programme as self-help or with the assistance of a coach or counsellor. Here are your options:

Best Practice

Our programme is part of Erasmus+ Access4All Best Practices, a project funded by the European Union.

The aim of ACCESS4ALL is to promote the educational and social inclusion of under-represented groups as well as of non-traditional learners, thereby broadly satisfying one of the main priorities being called for in the Erasmus+ programme and addressing one of the important features of it: “Promoting equity and inclusion by facilitating the access to learners with disadvantaged backgrounds and fewer opportunities compared to their peers”.

I would highly recommend the Student Compass to anyone in need of support for their mental wellbeing. In my case, the online programme exceeded my expectations; it was a pleasant surprise.
