Institute of Educational Leadership
The Institute of Educational Leadership has been at the forefront of developing research and university-based training in educational administration and leadership in Finland since 1999.
For Finnish customers the Institute offers the Principal Preparation Programme, which provides eligibility for a principalship, and for senior principals we provide an Advanced Leadership Programme. For superintendents and principals, the Institute organizes leadership training programmes. In-service training is also an important part of our operations in Finland.
Master’s Degree Programme in Educational Sciences
The Faculty of Education and Psychology provides a 2-year on-campus Master’s Degree Programme in Educational Sciences (EDUMA) which includes a specialisation option for Educational Leadership.
Doctoral School of the Faculty of Education and Psychology
The Faculty of Education and Psychology has a Doctoral programme in education. Doctoral students in the Faculty of Education and Psychology may choose to participate in activities organised by multidisciplinary, nationally or internationally networked doctoral training networks and research communities.
Research in educational leadership is highly interdisciplinary, representing all forms of education from primary to vocational and adult education. Education is at the core, but there is also a strong presence of management science, sociology, psychology and organisational and management research.
