Jyväskylä Brain & Mind

We maintain an e-mail list for researchers and doctoral students as well as master students interested in neuroscience. The mailing list is used in informing about courses and training, events and other current affairs organized by CIBR. Our aim is to build an interdisciplinary university-wide research network in the field of neuroscience. The mailing list may also be used as a channel to inform about neuroscience-related issues such as books, studies, conferences and congresses. Sign up at the following address to be added to or removed from the CIBR collegium mailing list.

Jyväskylä Brain & Mind PhD collegium

The aim of the collegium is to have a platform to facilitate communication among doctoral researchers in the field of brain research and the council is to organize and coordinate the collegium. We aim to create a larger community of neuro doctoral researchers in JYU that would provide support to one another with things like seminars, lab visits as well as collect some useful resources to our Teams channel that we might find useful.

To all doctoral researchers interested, please contact us via email so we can add you to our mailing list and Teams channel.

Neurocenter Finland

The Ä¢¹½Ö±²¥ made an agreement to join Neurocenter Finland in 2021. Neurocenter Finland is a contract-based collaborative network for neuroscience, comprised of 7 universities and 5 well-being services counties. Its objective is to establish a network that supports the emergence of new proposals for collaborative research, innovation and business activities – with the aim of promoting brain health.

In doing so, it promotes Research and Development activities, improves their conditions and visibility, and promotes partnerships across regional, organizational and disciplinary boundaries. It also maintains comprehensive and up-to-date information on research projects, infrastructures, methods, materials and innovations in the field of neuroscience in Finland.

CIBR advisory board

The advisory board aids decision-making and strategic planning.

Chaired by Sarianna Sipilä.

CIBR infrastructure board

In early 2021, a group of researchers was established to coordinate the shared use of existing brain research infrastructure and to plan the acquisition of new equipment. The board aims at promoting the use of the brain research laboratories across the university and discusses good practices in sharing, maintaining and supporting the facilities. A future goal is to make all brain research infrastructure visible and accessible via a single interface. In strategic terms, the board will develop the university's brain research infrastructure to meet researchers' future needs.

Chaired by Simo Monto.
