Hotel Alba is located by Lake Jyväsjärvi, right next to the Mattilanniemi campus, where the Summer School takes place. If your research group or some other sponsor is covering your accommodation costs, please consider staying at Hotel Alba. The accommodation at Hotel Alba should be paid on site (by cash/credit card).

Please note that making a reservation within the Summer School quota is only possible for the summer school period (3.-17.8.2025)

We have reserved a limited number of rooms at the hotel, available on a first-come, first-served basis. Reservation instructions will be sent to students who have been granted admission to the summer school along with the Letter of Admission.

Time to Stay offers furnished rooms and hostel accommodation options in Jyväskylä. Time Rooms are located next to Hospital Nova (Hoitajantie 4) with good traffic connection to the city center. Time Hostel is located next to the university campus Seminaarinmäki (Vaasankatu 29). 

In Time Rooms, there are single and double rooms (with either a private or a shared bathroom), and rooms for three people with a shared bathroom. You can make your own meals in a common kitchen, or pop into the café restaurant at Hospital Nova, which is open from early morning till late evening. The rooms include a desk and smart TV, as well as fast WIFI Internet connection. 

Time Hostel is a small boutique hostel with eight private rooms and one common dormitory. The hostel has shared toilets and showers, comfortable common areas and a well-equipped kitchen for everyone to use. The hostel also offers a possibility of laundry washing and drying.

• Room for three people: 43 euros per person per night, shared bathroom. The room includes two normal beds and an extra bed.
• Dormitory bed 35 euros per person per night, shared bathroom.
   

Reservation

The reservation must be made by email. Detailed reservation instructions with the Summer School reservation code will be sent to admitted students by email. The reservation period within the Summer School quota is open until 7 July.

Please note that the Summer School has reserved a quota of rooms at Time to Stay for the agreed prices (mentioned above). Making a reservation within the Summer School quota is only possible for the summer school period (3. – 16.8.2025). If you make your booking after the Summer School reservation deadline (7.7.2025) or you wish to stay extra nights, you should check the availability of rooms directly with Time to Stay, and their normal rates apply.
 

Payment

You will receive a confirmation email from Time to Stay with the reservation information and an international payment link after you have reserved the room. The payment is due in 14 days.

Cancellation and nonarrival policy

Unless otherwise agreed during the reservation or unless other terms and conditions apply to your chosen price or time of reservation, the reservation must be cancelled no later than 7 days before the check-in time. If you fail to arrive, Time to Stay has the right to charge you the total price of the reservation including taxes and any additional services related to the reservation as compensation.

The Jyväskylä Omena hotel is located in the city centre, near the railway station.

Omena Hotel is a self-service hotel where the doors open with a digital door code. You will receive the code via text message or email before your arrival. The rooms can accommodate 1-4 people and include a microwave, kettle, coffee/tea, free WIFI, and a small refrigerator, in addition to standard hotel amenities.

Each room has two fixed beds and two foldable extra beds – the beds can be kept together or separated.

Accommodation options and prices

• Room for 1-2 persons: 70€ per night.
• Room for 3 persons: 80€ per night.
• Room for 4 persons: 90€ per night.

Breakfast is not included. However, you can add breakfast to your reservation when making the. In Jyväskylä the breakfast partner is Picnic Matkakeskus, address Hannikaisenkatu 20, less than 300 meters from the hotel.

Breakfast package 6,90 €/person includes

• coffee/tea
• one breakfast product (a bun with ham and cheese or cheese, salmon bread, juice, smoothie, yogurt bowl and fresh porridge).

Forenom Hostel Jyväskylä offers mini rooms with a double bed and twin rooms with two single beds. The rooms are located in the heart of the Jyväskylä city center on the main street Kauppakatu.

The room prices vary according to date. Forenom reserves the right to make changes to the prices. There will be a -15% discount off the room prices at the time of reservation for the admitted summer school participants. Cancellation

After your reservation has been confirmed, you can no longer cancel or change it, unless otherwise agreed. The terms of cancellation are displayed and accepted when confirming the reservation online. It is possible to change the names of the residents or their contact information after confirming the booking, but you may not change the date or duration of your reservation or cancel it unless you have purchased a flexible reservation.
