Ä¢¹½Ö±²¥

If your name has changed after your educational documents were issued, you must submit proof of the change of name (e.g., a marriage or civil partnership certificate, a life certificate, an extract from the Finnish Population Information System). The document must state your previous and current name, or otherwise, show a clear link between the two. If you are a Finnish citizen and your educational documents state your Finnish personal identity code, no proof of the change of name is required. 

If your Finnish personal identity code has changed after your educational documents were issued, you must submit a certificate proving the change.

A document proving the change of your name or the change of your Finnish personal identity code, must be attached to your online application form by 29 January 2025 at 3:00 p.m. (EET) / 15.00. 

Follow these instructions if you have completed or will complete in spring 2025 upper secondary education outside Finland, for example A-levels or a high school diploma (excluding the IB Diploma and the EB Diploma, which have different requirements). The qualification must give eligibility to bachelor-level studies in the awarding country.

If you have graduated by the time of applying

If you have completed your upper secondary education qualification before spring 2025, attach to your online application form on Studyinfo.fi by 29 January 2025 at 3:00 p.m. (EET):

• A scanned copy of your final upper secondary education diploma
• An official translation to Finnish, Swedish or English if the original document is not issued in one of these languages. More information on official translations can be found below.

If you are completing the qualification in spring 2025

If you are completing your upper secondary education qualification in spring 2025, attach to your online application form on Studyinfo.fi by 29 January 2025 at 3:00 p.m. (EET):

• Attach a scanned copy of the latest academic transcript of records or other certificate provided by your school that states the qualification you are completing. The document should also state the scope of the degree and estimated date of graduation. The certificate should be provided with the official stamp of the educational institution and must be signed and clarified by an educational institution representative including a representative's title.
• An official translation to Finnish, Swedish or English if the original document is not issued in one of these languages. More information on official translations can be found below.

If you are admitted, your admission is conditional (i.e. not final). For your admission to become unconditional, send to the Admission Services of the Ä¢¹½Ö±²¥ by email (idp-attachments@jyu.fi) by 31 July 2025 at 3:00 p.m. (EEST):

• A scanned copy of your final upper secondary education diploma
• An official translation to Finnish, Swedish or English if the original document is not issued in one of these languages. More information on official translations can be found below.

Your admission will be cancelled if you do not deliver us a scanned copy your final diploma by the given deadline (31 July 2025 3:00 p.m. (EEST)).

If you have completed the Finnish Matriculation examination in 1990 or later, you do not need to submit a copy of your diploma because we are able to verify your results from national databases. If you are completing the Finnish matriculation examination in spring 2025, we will receive information regarding your final grades once they are published from national databases. 

If you have completed the Finnish matriculation examination in 1989 or earlier, attach a scanned copy of your Finnish matriculation examination certificate to your online application form by 29 January 2025 at 3:00 p.m. (EET) /15.00. If you have completed the Finnish matriculation examination in 1989 or earlier, and you are admitted, your admission can be conditional (i.e. not final) depending on the admission group in which you have been selected. If you have graduated by the time of applying

If you have completed your IB Diploma before spring 2025, attach a scanned copy of your diploma to your online application form by 29 January 2025 at 3:00 p.m. (EET)/15.00. Attach both pages of the IB Diploma: the page stating that the Diploma has been awarded and the page stating your grades.

If you are admitted, your admission can be conditional (i.e. not final) depending on the admission group in which you have been selected. Please see further instructions at:

If you are completing the qualification in spring 2025

If you are completing your IB Diploma in spring 2025, attach your predicted grades report to your online application form by 1 April 2025 at 3:00 p.m. (EEST)/15.00. Official final grades must be delivered to the Ä¢¹½Ö±²¥ by 10 July 2025 at 3:00 p.m. (EEST)/15.00.

If you are admitted based on the scores calculated from your IB predicted grades, the selection is conditional until the Admission Services of the Ä¢¹½Ö±²¥ receives your official final grades. If the scores calculated based on the final grades are lower than the scores calculated based on the predicted grades, your admission may be cancelled. Please also note that your admission will be cancelled, if we do not receive your official final grades by the given deadline. 

If you are not admitted based on the scores calculated from your IB predicted grades, and the scores calculated based on the final grades are higher than the scores calculated based on your predicted grades, you may still be admitted in admission group 1.

Please note that any high school diploma awarded outside Finland does not qualify for an International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma. The International Baccalaureate is a specific programme, and only students who have studied at a properly accredited school participating in the IB programme can be awarded an IB Diploma.

If you have graduated by the time of applying

If you have completed your EB Diploma before spring 2025, attach a scanned copy of your diploma to your online application form by 29 January 2025 at 3:00 p.m. (EET)/15.00. Attach all pages of the diploma.

If you are completing the qualification in spring 2025

If you are completing your EB Diploma in spring 2025, attach your predicted grades report to your online application form by 1 April 2025 at 3:00 p.m. (EEST)/15.00. Official final grades must be delivered to the Ä¢¹½Ö±²¥ by 10 July 2025 at 3:00 p.m. (EEST)/15.00.

Please note that any European high school diploma does not qualify for a European Baccalaureate (EB) Diploma. The European Baccalaureate is a specific programme, and only students who have studied at a properly accredited school participating in the EB programme can be awarded an EB Diploma.

If you have completed your DIA or RP Diploma in Finland before spring 2025, attach to your online application form by 29 January 2025 at 3:00 p.m. (EET)/15.00:

• A scanned copy of your final diploma. Attach all pages of the diploma.
• An equivalency certificate on upper secondary education based on Reifeprüfung or DIA provisions (in Finnish: Vastaavuustodistus lukio-opinnoista, jotka perustuvat RP- tai DIA-tutkinnon säännöksiin).

If you are completing the qualification in spring 2025

If you are completing your DIA Diploma in Finland in spring 2025, attach to your online application form by 30 April 2025 at 3:00 p.m. (EEST)/15.00:

• A scanned copy of your final DIA diploma
• A scanned copy of the grade page of your final DIA diploma

If you have completed or will complete in spring 2025 a Reifeprüfung (RP) or Deutches Internationales Abitur (DIA) Diploma outside Finland, please see instructions for submitting your educational documents under the heading "Upper secondary education completed outside Finland". If you have completed an RP or DIA qualification outside Finland, you must apply on the basis of an SAT test result. Please see further instructions from . 

If you have graduated by the time of applying

If you have completed a Finnish vocational upper secondary qualification (in Finnish: ammatillinen perustutkinto), in 2017 or later, you do not need to submit a copy of your final diploma, as we will receive your information from national databases.

If you have completed a Finnish vocational upper secondary qualification (in Finnish: ammatillinen perustutkinto), in 2016 or earlier, attach a copy of the final diploma to your application form by 29 January 2025 at 3:00 p.m. (EET) / 15.00. 

If you are completing the qualification in spring 2025

If you are completing the qualification in spring 2025, it must be completed by 13 June 2025. You do not need to submit a copy of your final diploma because we are able to verify your graduation from national databases.

If you have graduated by the time of applying

If you have completed a Finnish further vocational qualification or specialist vocational qualification (in Finnish: ammatti- tai erikoisammattitutkinto), in 2018 or later, you do not need to submit a copy of your final diploma, as we will receive your information from national databases.

If you have completed a Finnish further vocational qualification or specialist vocational qualification (in Finnish: ammatti- tai erikoisammattitutkinto), in 2017 or earlier, attach a copy of your final vocational or specialist vocational qualification diploma to your application form by 29 January 2025 at 3:00 p.m. (EET) /15.00. 

If you are completing the qualification in spring 2025

If you are completing the qualification in spring 2025, it must be completed by 13 June 2025. You do not need to submit a copy of your final diploma because we are able to verify your graduation from national databases.

If you have completed the Advanced International Certificate of Education (AICE) Diploma, inform us about it on the application form on Studyinfo.fi. On the section "Educational background" choose "Other eligibility for higher education", fill in the mandatory information and attach a scanned copy of your AICE Diploma. 

If you are currently completing the AICE Diploma and your AICE Diploma results are released in August 2025, unfortunately you are not eligible to apply for the international bachelor's programme in 2025. Please wait until 2026 to apply.

If you are completing the AICE Diploma in India and your diploma results are released in May 2025, you can apply with the unfinished diploma. Inform us about the unfinished AICE diploma on the application form on Studyinfo.fi. On the section "Educational background" choose "Other eligibility for higher education" and fill in the mandatory information. If you are admitted on the basis of an unfinished AICE Diploma, your admission will be conditional. For your admission to become unconditional, you must send a scanned copy of your final AICE Diploma to the Admission Services of the Ä¢¹½Ö±²¥ by 10 July 2025 3.00 p.m. (EEST). You can send the copy to us by email (idp-attachments@jyu.fi). We recommend using our secure email service when delivering the document.

If you have graduated by the time of applying

If you have completed the degree, attach to your online application form by 29 January 2025 at 3:00 p.m. (EET)/15.00:

• A copy of the final degree certificate
• A copy of the final transcript of records
• Official translations to Finnish, Swedish or English if the original documents is not issued in one of these languages. More information on official translations can be found below.

If you are completing the degree in spring 2025

If you are completing the degree in spring 2025, attach to your online application form by 29 January 2025 at 3:00 p.m. (EET)/15.00:

• A copy of the most recent academic transcript of records  
• An official translation to Finnish, Swedish or English if the original document is not issued in one of these languages. More information on official translations can be found below.

If you are admitted, your admission is conditional (i.e. not final). For your admission to become unconditional deliver by email (idp-attachments@jyu.fi) by 31 July 2025 at 3:00 p.m. (EEST)/15.00:

• A copy of the final degree certificate
• An official translation to Finnish, Swedish or English if the original document is not issued in one of these languages. More information on official translations can be found below.

We recommend using our secure email service when delivering the document(s). Your admission will be cancelled if you do not deliver us a scanned copy your final degree certificate before the given deadline (31 July 2025 3:00 p.m. (EEST)).

By 31 July 2025 at 3.00 pm/15.00 (EEST), deliver by email (idp-attachments@jyu.fi):

• A copy of the final degree certificate

Your admission will be cancelled if you do not graduate by the given deadline or if information regarding your graduation is not available in national databases by the given deadline. 

If you apply based on a right to study toward a university degree in Finland, inform us about the study right on the application form on Studyinfo.fi. On the section "Educational background / Pohjakoulutuksesi" choose "Other eligibility for higher education / Muu korkeakoulukelpoisuus" and fill in the mandatory information. Inform your current study right and your current university.

If your right to study toward a university degree in Finland has been granted to you before 1995, you must attach to your online application form a transcript of records, attendance certificate or some other certificate issued by the university which confirms your study right. Attach the document to your online application form by 29 January 2025 3.00 p.m. (EET)/15.00.
