I work as a business consultant at the global professional services company EY (also known as Ernst & Young) in Vilnius, Lithuania. Within the Business Advisory service line, my functional focus is on Performance Improvement – we help organizations to improve performance of their business by focusing on services in finance, customer, and supply chain, supported by the key enabling competencies of program management, strategic direction, people and organization and IT advisory.

IBE studies gave me a full set of competences: a comprehensive understanding of business processes, an entrepreneurial mindset and a strategic understanding of the “big-picture”, which is the perfect combination of skills for any business professional in today’s market. I am very happy I chose IBE for my Master’s degree, as I not only gained strong academic and research skills but also useful international experience.

My work at EY is extremely dynamic and covers a broad range of projects in public and private sector locally and internationally. During my IBE studies I learned building business cases, delivering creative problem solutions, modeling internal and external business processes, which now are a big part of my job. I also got a chance to participate in business competitions and events which were also a great learning and networking experience.

Being a business consultant is challenging but rewarding – I constantly need to learn and apply new methods, engage with interesting clients in diverse industries. I can honestly say that IBE studies gave me the skillset and an inspiration to choose the career path that I am truly proud of :)
