I’m Joona Koivisto and work as an Associate Consultant at Bain & Company. Bain & Company is a global management consulting firm, advising leaders on strategy, marketing, organization, operations, IT and M&A, across all industries and geographies. More specifically, I’ve so far been a part of the Bain Private Equity practice, where I’ve worked with top investment banks and their portfolio companies.
I attended the IBE program from 2020-2022, simultaneously completing another Master’s degree in education. I think IBE gave me great insight on developing my business skills and enabled to also work on my 2nd start up related to brain computer-interfaces.
I feel IBE is the best program at JYU, not only due to being the most selective in terms of acceptance, but also in terms of program quality. IBE is providing both world class teaching methods and international accreditation which can be leveraged for future careers. Especially solving challenging problems in brilliant teams is something that I saw both in IBE and my current everyday work with Bain & Company.
