Research data management training

This training introduces you to best practices in research data management throughout the research project. One day, be able to open your (meta)data!

The training focuses on research data management in the dissertation and research processes. The aim is for participants to recognize the characteristics of their own research data and to get a knowledge package of best practices in managing them properly during the research project. In addition, the aim is to promote understanding of the importance of opening research data as part of Open Science and research policies. In the workshop session of the training, attendees start to draft a data management plan (DMP) for their dissertation or research project according to the University's and funders' requirements. Attendees also learn how to open the metadata of their datasets by using the University's Converis.

The training is offered as two alternative modules with different content, one of which introduces the management of data containing personal data and the other the management and opening of data that do not include handling of personal data under the GDPR:

The training can be included in the LIBJ2002 Collect, Manage and Publish Information course offered by the Open Science Centre.
