The Research and Innovation Services assists you in applying for research funding at the Ä¢¹½Ö±²¥. We help you identify suitable funding programmes and interpret the funding provider's terms and conditions. We provide advice and comments during the proposal writing phase, help in describing the impact and interactions of the project, and funder-specific training.
Our high-quality research services and research infrastructure support the implementation of international research projects and new innovative approaches to multidisciplinary research. You can get guidance on intellectual property rights, promoting science-based solutions and research-driven business, and advice on research ethics and responsible science.
The Research Council of Finland supports universities in strengthening their research profiles (Profi) and speeding up the strategic profiling in order to improve the quality of research. The strengthening of earlier profiling choices is done by recruiting high-level researchers from outside Finland in 2025 to work on the existing profiling areas.
The university applies for funding. The applications are reviewed, for example, under criteria of the expected impact of planned recruitment(s) on strengthening selected profiling area(s), as well as convincingness of plans for longer-term retention of recruited researchers. The funding period will start on 1 January 2026 at the earliest and no later than 1 January 2027. The funding is fixed-term and will be granted for a five-year period.
