Research group description
The study investigates teacher and student well-being and related factors. In addition, the study examines how teacher and student stress and well-being are reflected in interaction processes in the classroom as well as in various educational outcomes (academic skills, motivation, social skills). The role of parents and home learning environment in student learning and motivation is also investigated. In addition, principals' occupational well-being and related factors are examined.
The study received funding from Academy of Finland in Spring 2020 to investigate how the COVID-19 pandemic is reflected in teacher and student stress and well-being. In addition, the role of distance learning and instruction practices in student learning and well-being are examined.
