PIAAC

The Programme for the International Assessment of Adult Competencies (PIAAC) is an international large-scale assessment study focusing on the key information-processing skills of the working-age adult population. PIAAC provides internationally and temporally comparable knowledge about adult skills and the factors associated with them. Thirty-one countries participated in the second cycle of the study (2022-2023). Its results will be published on Dec 10th 2024.

Project description

The key information-processing skills measured in PIAAC Cycle 2 were literacy, numeracy, and adaptive problem solving. The study included a direct assessment of skills and a background questionnaire about factors which influence skills, such as education, work, well-being, family background and skill-use at work and outside work.
