Project description

In this research project we are examining the experiences and views of teachers and students about ethical selection situations, related support and competence. The research material is gathered by collecting the experiences and views of teachers and students as open questionnaire responses.

The research results provide information on what kind of ethical selection situations teachers face in their work, what kind of support they receive, and what kind of expertise these situations require of them. In addition, information is obtained on the development of support and competence related to ethical selection situations, for example from the point of view of educational leadership. The research results also provide information on the views of teacher students regarding these themes. The results can be used to further develop teacher training for both undergraduate and continuing education. The results also provide information on the current situation in terms of ethical selection situations, support and competence, both from those working as teachers and students in teacher education.
