My area of expertise is particularly related to music listening and work well-being.
Research interests
I'm doing my PhD on music listening and recovery from work. In my research, I will examine the role of listening to music in psychological recovery experiences. In my master's thesis, I conducted an integrative literature review in which I found similarities between the psychological functions of listening to music and the psychological recovery experiences represented by the DRAMMA model developed in the field of industrial and organisational psychology. In my dissertation research, I explore these connections using empirical and mixed methods. The aim of my research is to increase our understanding of the ways in which people listen to music in relation to work recovery and the potential effects of music listening on psychological experiences and processes of work recovery.
