Biography

I work in the Centre of Excellence of Music, Mind, Body and Brain as a doctoral researcher.

I study the use of music listening for anxiety treatment in music therapy, and also its possibilities in self-management of naturally occurring anxiety in everyday life. I study anxiety as a phenomenon that can occur both as an everyday emotion and at the level of serious illness.

I am interested in the complexity of anxiety, as well as its connections to depression and other related disorders. I also want to study further how the possible maladaptive use of music or music avoidance is related to high levels of anxiety.
