Research interests
My main research interests are in the social sciences, with a particular focus on issues related to the energy transition, climate change, energy security and energy politics. When it comes to social acceptance of energy technology, my focus is mostly on wind energy and Carbon Capture and Storage (CCS). I am keen on questions such as who fears what and why, how to activate the public in the green transition, and how to enable civil society.
Concerning energy politics, I am interested in energy security and energy independence in Europe. In particular, I am interested in the pipeline politics in the Baltic Sea Region (BSR), mainly the Nord Stream projects.
