Jyväskylä University Library
A scientific library open to all. A modern learning and working centre to support study, teaching and research.
The Main Library of the Ä¢¹½Ö±²¥ was designed by architect Arto Sipinen (1936-2017) as part of the Seminaarinmäki administrative and institutional building complex. Completed in 1974, the modern library building represented a new way of thinking about libraries.
Completed in 2021, the library building's renovation was designed by architect Ari Sipinen, Arto Sipinen's son. The building was adapted to meet the current needs of the university, but the original colour scheme and the characteristic atmosphere of the entrance lobby and light windows were retained.

In Lähde, there are works of art from the collections of both the state and the Ä¢¹½Ö±²¥.
