The conference themed “Science Education for the Future” is held at Yuelai International Convention Center in Chongqing, China on August 16-18, 2018. About 10 000 participants including science education researchers, science teachers, and school administrators are expected to join the event. “It is indeed a privilege for me to invite Dr. Koskinen to participate in this conference and give a keynote speech,” writes the CACSI Secretary-General Lin Liqin in his invitation.

Export teaching developer to China

The link between Koskinen and conference organizers was created by EduCluster Finland, an educational expertise company that is part of the Ģֱ group. “Pekka Koskinen is known as an engaging science educator and active teaching developer who has received recognition for education development. We are very happy that he is now getting this chance to share his enthusiasm with Chinese science educators. This conference is one of the biggest science education events in China,” says Lead Expert Olli-Pekka Malinen from EduCluster Finland.

Several years development work

"I am proud to present fruits of our teaching development, particularly the Primetime Learning model that we developed for years with a diverse bunch of wonderful people. The keynote is also a fitting way to carry out education export, one of the University's core strategies," says Koskinen and commends EduCluster Finland for its facilitating role. The organizer of the conference, China Association for Children’s Science Instructors, is a national organization in China that gathers together people and organizations that work in the area of science education.
