THE ranking: JYU’s physical sciences, psychology and health sciences in the renowned ranking
In the previous year, the ranking was 301–400. The physical sciences list includes world’s top universities in mathematics, statistics, physics, astronomy, chemistry, geology and environmental science. The list included seven Finnish universities, of which JYU was the third.
Psychology at the Ģֱ was ranked 251–300 among the world’s best universities. The psychology ranking includes 568 best universities. JYU’s position dropped slightly from the previous year. The list includes six universities from Finland.
Health sciences were ranked 401–500 in the Clinical & Health category. The list includes six universities from Finland. The comparison includes in total 925 leading universities in the fields of medicine, dentistry and health sciences.
“The rankings by subject measure teaching, research and citations. In addition, international outlook and industry income are evaluated. The rankings emphasise publication activity and internationalisation,” says Head of Internationalization and Higher Education Policy Anna Grönlund.
