The broken air conditioning device caused unidentified chemical odor and evacuation at Ylistönrinne
The broken axel in air conditioning device caused problems in air ventilation and caused unidentified chemical odor at the 2nd floor of the Ylistö library building early in the Friday morning.  Buildings at the Department of the Chemistry, Ylistö Library and at the Department of Physics were evacuated.

The emergency services arrived and the buildings were evacuated at 9 o’clock. The odor was observed by cleaners who were guided to the medical check up.
The buildings of the Chemistry Department are checked and they are in normal use now.
