The application round is open for FORTHEM collective and individual short-term mobilities that take place between March and August 2025
Collective Short-Term Mobilities
FORTHEM collective short-term mobilities are intensive programmes organised by our FORTHEM partner universities. The selected students will receive a FORTHEM grant for mobilities that take place outside of Finland. You can also apply for collective short-term mobilities that is organized by JYU but it is not possible to receive a grant for participating to these. It is however an excellent opportunity to get international experience on your home campus!
Individual Short-Term Mobilities
Students can also go on an individual short-term mobility to a FORTHEM university. The programme enables students to carry out an individual research stay of five days at a FORTHEM university. During the individual mobility, the student will be supported by a mentoring professor from the host university. Students have to organise their stay themselves, from finding a mentoring professor to organising their travel and accommodation. Note that finding a mentor is a prerequisite for the application but it does not guarantee that you will be selected for the iSTM.
FORTHEM grants to help covering the approximate costs of your travel, accommodation and living expenses while abroad are also provided to students who go on individual short-term mobilities.
